  1. Hi,
I recently bought the GAPS guide and DVD but did not receive a coupon code for future purchases. I would like to purchase another book but would like the code.

    Thank you

    • Hi Melissa,

If you purchased through gapsdiet.com or nutrivene.com, please contact that company to request the coupon code.

      All my best,
      Baden

    • Hi Teresa,

As noted in the post, please bring any requests for samples directly to the folks at gapsdiet.com or nutrivene.com

      All my best,
      Baden

    • Hi Steve,

I’m not sure whether or not the sample is available to residents of Canada, but I imagine so. Certainly the company referred to ships products to our country. Please do check in with the company referred to.

      All my best,
      Baden

  2. Hi there,
Very new to this…. I was trying to order the free samples on the links listed and I was unable to locate the request area for the samples…. what came up was the advertisement for Dr. Campbell’s new recipe book…I feel like a “ding dong”…
I went further into the on line store and was still unable to find it… obviously I am missing something.. do I need to call??
    Thanks for your help
    Kim

    • Hi Kim,

Yes, I think you need to make direct (email or phone) contact with Nutrivene for the free samples. I will update the info to reflect that. Thanks for helping make this site better for all using it!

      All my best,
      Baden

  3. Baden,

I went on the Pecan Bread website and in the kids section several of the recipes call for baking soda. I didn’t see it listed on the GAPS food list~it is legal?

    • Hi Sara,

Baking soda is not used as a food/ingredient in GAPS -only in baths. It is to be avoided.

      All my best,
      Baden

  4. Hi Baden,

Hubby & (hopefully) I will be starting GAPS intro. next week. I’m a vegetarian (not vegan) and don’t eat any meat, fish or chicken. I’m ok with beef/chicken broth and eggs and dairy. We are concerned that I won’t be able to do the GAPS diet. Please provide any info. you can as we’d love to do this together :)
    Thanks!
    Nanci

    • Hi Nanci,

If including meat broths, eggs, dairy and animal fats, you might well be able to do GAPS. My only concern in avoiding the meat itself would be hunger, but if you can somehow fill up on the fats, eggs, full-fat dairy, etc, you’re good to go. I respect veg*nism, and was vegetarian myself for twenty-two years (vegan for short periods of that). You can read more about my perspective on veg*nism and GAPS in the GAPS Guide’s FAQ section.

      All my best,
      Baden

    • Dear Anne,

In order to access your samples, please do contact the company referenced in the post.

      All my best,
      Baden

  5. Good morning, I too would be greatly appreciative of any samples you can provide. We currently are doing this for our 5 year old, but have a family of 6 so we all have to do it. It gets so expensive, but am grateful we have been able to purchase and find grass fed meats and organic fruits and vegetables. I did purchase the Fermented Cod Liver Oil, but only let the youngest have it for now. :( Thank you!

    • Hi Lynn,

      No worries :)

(You can see in the comments that this confusion comes up a lot! If you have ideas about how I could make this more clear for readers, please let me know.)

      All my best,
      Baden
